Alberta Health Services promotes wellness and provides medical care for Canadians in the province of Alberta. At SORCe, Alberta Health Services provides mental health and addictions programming, including indigenous specific supports.  

Programs available at SORCe

Mental Health Urgent Care

Mental Health Urgent Care offers mental health crisis assessment and psychosocial interventions on a walk-in basis.

Urgent Mental Health conditions may include:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • thoughts of suicide or harming oneself
  • overwhelming stress
  • addictions
  • other situations that cause a person to be in crisis

Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Addictions

Addiction services includes short-term outpatient treatment from mental health therapists and addictions counselors. 

Availability: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Indigenous Mental Health

Availability: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Downtown Community Paramedics

The Downtown Community Paramedic team is a mobile response paramedic team in the inner city that provides non-urgent medical care on an on-call basis. 

Availability: Thursday, Friday (on-call)
